привет, здорово! Это наиболее универсальное и самое популярно сейчас американское приветствие. Говорится всем встречным и поперечным. Hello! и How do you do! - все-таки звучат намного формальнее и поэтому употребляются гораздо реже. Неуместно такое неформальное приветствие может выглядеть разве что в официальном публичном выступлении. Мы же не начинаем научный доклад или серьезную политическую речь со слова "Здорово!" Лишний hi никогда не лишний - в Америке принято говорить это слово всякому, кто на вас посмотрел.Американский автор с до сих пор терпящей его супругой в один теплый день (сентябрь 2003 года) сплавлялись по речке Висконсинке ( Wisconsin River) на байдарке. Так вот, со своим "хаем" к ним обратились абсолютно все, кто мимо проплывал, а также кто видел с берега, как они плыли мимо. За время проплывания нередко удавалось побеседовать о погоде, как положено, а также обсудить, кто откуда и куда плывет, и что в этой реке ловит. Так принято.Можно сказать Hi there! Но это еще менее формально, и с легким оттенком пренебрежения: Эй, там, привет!Продолжая рассуждения о приветствиях, напомним, что How do you do! это не вопрос, и отвечают на него повторением той же фразы. Вопрос-приветствие будет How are you doing? - тут как бы больше сердечности, вашим самочувствием как бы интересуются, и на этот вопрос "Как дела?" нужно отвечать: "I'm fine. How are you?"Такое несколько более личное приветствие типично для американского юга. А на эбониксе все слова и звуки сливаются, и получается одно слово: "гавьядуин?" Если заранее не знать - понять эту кашу невозможно.Стыдно сказать, но в небольшой общине русских научных работников на американском юге этот чуть ли не расистский термин - "гавьюдуинги" - так и закрепился в качестве названия для вспомогательного персонала, постоянно это слово озвучивающего.На юго-западе, в Техасе, например, How are you doing? давно преобразовалось в самостоятельное слово-приветствие Howdy! См. рис. (У каждого штата есть свой набор символов: цветок, птица, стихотворение... Штатом Оклахома на последнюю роль было избрано стихотворение с романтическим названием "Howdy, Folks" ("Привет, ребята")). -
